Jules Firetag
The Firetag Invitational was created in memory of Jules Firetag, the first board president of Teen Lifeline and an avid golfer. A respected attorney, a giving volunteer, the past president of the Jewish Community Center, an action-oriented leader, and a good friend, Jules was an all-around champion for our community.
Highlights from 2023’s Event
With temperatures in the mid-70s and a gentle breeze on the air, November 10th was truly perfect for golfing at the 18th Annual Firetag Golf Tournament, proudly sponsored by MIND 24-7. Several minigames brought some fun to the course, including a drone drop, wheel of fortune, and ball launcher.
Over 110 players and sponsors from Arizona’s healthcare and philanthropic communities made this year’s tournament a resounding success, raising nearly $100,000 in support of Teen Lifeline. Watch the highlight reel of this year’s event on YouTube.

Every year, we recognize outstanding players for their top scores in the tournament. The winners of the 18th Annual Firetag Golf Tournament are:

2nd Place Team: Lanny Lahr Foursome (Lanny Lahr, Bill Fay, Vic Ferreira, & Brad Schoen)
3rd Place Team: James Maguire Foursome (James Maguire, Trevor Walker, & Sabur Mian)
Longest Drive: Jonathan Bales (Men’s) & LeAnn Somers (Women’s)
Closest to the Pin: Seth Beer (Men’s) & Debi Lotts (Women’s)
This event has a silent auction with proceeds supporting Teen Lifeline and our life-saving work in teen suicide prevention. The silent auction will run online throughout the week of the event.
