Teen Lifeline HotlineThe Peer Counselors that answer the hotline are teens just like YOU!

Are you at least 15 years old? Do you live in Maricopa County, Arizona? Do you want to be a connection of hope to a fellow teen in crisis? Then consider volunteering and becoming a Peer Counselor with Teen Lifeline!

Peer Counselors staff the hotline from 3:00 pm to 9:00 pm every day! Yes, even weekends and holidays! They receive a minimum of 72 hours of training prior to taking calls. All Peer Counselors are always supervised by a Master’s level Clinician.

If you (or your teen) is interested in volunteering, we ask the following:

  • That you are able to make a 4 month commitment to the organization once training is complete
  • That you are able to work a minimum of 15 hours a month (Approximately 2-3 shifts)

PLEASE NOTE: Our training sessions take place IN PHOENIX, AZ. So you will need reliable transportation to and from training.

To learn more about the training process check out our Life Skills Development program. To volunteer, fill out this form and join the family at Teen Lifeline! New Peer Counselor training takes place 4 times a year. If you sign up, you will be contacted closer to each actual training date.

Have questions or concerns? Please contact Youth Services Specialist, Mark Williamson, at mark@teenlifeline.orgIf you are over the age of 19 and interested in volunteering or interning, you don’t need to fill out the form! Instead, contact Development Officer, Susan Mathew, at susan@teenlifeline.org!
